My Miniature Cattle are more of a medium size. Being much smaller then regular cattle, but not tiny. They are sometimes considered "freezer size", which means that one can fill a freezer, where with normal cattle, one is too much meat for a one family freezer. I breed Miniature beef cattle, mostly for pets or breeding, but also for meat.
Most vets will testify that crossbred cattle are much healthier then purebreds. I choose my breeding stock for health, size, looks, (cuteness), temperament, hardiness, and color/markings.
"Stanley" is my bull! He is a Miniature Belted Galloway. Belted Galloways are a longer haired breed with a belt across their middle. Stanley also polled! (Born with no horns). Stanley is extremely beefy! Very stocky, cute, short face, and small! He was born in January of 2008. Stanley will be breeding my heifers. Belted Galloways are known to have very gentle temperaments! "Clarabelle" is a dark red heifer! She herself is a crossbreed, bred with Jersey, Devon, and a little Angus in her bloodlines. She is small, and very sweet, gentle, and friendly! Trained to lead. Clarabelle has more "dairy" in her then my other cattle, but is still nicely built! Clarabelle was born August 8th, 2008. Bred to Stanley for a 2011 calf. I plan to keep it if it is a heifer, or will sell it if it is a bull calf. About 43 inches tall.
"Hera Donkey" is Registered Miniature Donkey! She is chocolate colored! Hera is not "cattle", but lives with my herd and is very bonded to them! Her job is protection which she is great at! She is a very cute little girl and was born June 10th, 2008.
"Widowmaker" my Gypsy Colt! Out of Midnight and Jack Flash, born November 24th, 2009. I plan to geld him and ride him, and maybe get him a cart someday!
"Daisy Belle" is a miniature heifer calf out of Clarabelle and Stanley. She has a partial belt on one side and a very nice build. She was born on May 26, 2010. To mature about 42 inches tall.
"Gunslinger" is my new bull! He is a Miniature Herford/Mini Corriente cross. Very small boy! Expected to mature around 41 inches tall. Pictured at 1 year old.
"Blue Belle" is 3/4ths Miniature Beltie, and 1/4th Lowline cross heifer! Born mid March, 2010. Very unique markings! Pictured at 3 1/2 months old. To mature about 43 inches tall.
